I'm here in Edmonton. If you guys are looking for a place to meet up in Red Deer, I'll talk with my buddy that has a tune shop there. He's the on that has done all my re-building and mods, he's also doing my engine swap next weeked if all goes to plan.

I've actually talked with him before about organizing a w-body meet at his shop, he's all for it. And by the way... he's got a dyno.

That actually might be where we are going then.
They already have a dyno booked and are planning on going to a park after the dyno for a bit of a bbq. The more people the better.
Info can be found on the main page of GMFwd.com or the original article at Jspeed.ca
Hopefully some of you Edmonton guys can make it. Hell, hopefully *I* can make it

Well that's 3 of us from Edmonton. Verboten is around here some where too. That would be 4. But he hasn't been on the board for a few months now. If we don't end up in Red Deer we should meet up in the city sometime.

You should just make it to Red Deer! Im definately going to make it now. I should hopefully have the emulator working intime for the dyno so that will be fun to play with. I wont have my car there though unfortunately.

Damn, I just moved from Red Deer to Fort St John, B.C Can't imagine there's a forum member farther north than I am.

I have a Grey 93 Lumina Z-34. It's a nice car, I've had it for three fairly trouble free years but its starting to be high maintenance. I plan on keeping it for awhile though.

                  Innisfail here and I have a Black 92 Z~34

I've had it for about 8 years. This is a great car... when it is running properly.

The suspension makes the car handle like a dream.

This engine, however, is a mechanics nightmare. A few common problems are such a pain to fix or replace. e.g. Alternator, timing belt and of course the DOOR HANDLE!!
Z~34 will NOT let you down IF you keep it happy. Ugh

                    Hey Dave

Know of any places to get parts for our cars around Red Deer?

Just a bit of an update, we're having another dyno meet on November 13th in Calgary, Alberta. You guys should definately make it down. I wanna see what some other GM FWD vehicles can do on the dyno
This time its a dynojet instead of a mustang so it should be a little better.

Kris, I bought an alternator & battery from Canadian Tire. There is an auto wreckers on the northwest side of gasoline alley, I can't remember the name. He got a door handle for me 160.00 if I remember correctly and was going to charge 300.00 labour to replace the rear struts which I didn't think was unreasonable.

I didn't get much into aftermarket stuff and can't really help much with that. I found the south end Canadian Tire to be an extremely good one and always had stock with whatever I was looking for. Chatting with the guy from the autowreckers, he was somewhat knowledgable about the Lumina's. He knew they were generally a challenge to work on anyways.

                          Tks Dave

I spoke to my ex-husband and he suggested the wreckers in Red Deer as well. That's where I got my last door handle!
He figures it's the alternator that's giving me grief now, what did you pay at CT?

If I remember correctly, I think it was around 180.00 but the core charge was 30.00 so it only ended up around 150.00 or so. They had stock of them. I've also picked up brake pads and a rotor that they actually kept stock of also. Like I said before I was pretty impressed with the amount of stock they kept on hand for these cars.
