Hey guys, i got a dilema on my hands. I have a 97 grand am gt with a 3100 out of a 02 grand prix. it has the grand prix injectors and runs for now but i know its running too rich, its throwing some kind of code, and kind of stumbling at idle sometimes. Now i have a stock bin for a 1998 grand am gt that i can tune and could easily change the injector flow rate from 455 mSec/ Gram to 371 mSec/Gram to correct the injectors and tune some more to get the car running.

With all that said, my question is this. Can a 97 grand am use a 98 grand am pcm. I'm pretty sure that a 96 can use a 97 and the other way around but can i interchange the 98 with them. Thank you.

Well I was hoping someone would reply that knows for sure, but im pretty sure you can run a 98 PCM no problem. I think all 97-05 OBD2 computers are compatible with the right program written to them. I thought 96 was different though so I can't say im 100% on the compatibility.

I am not sure if this will help, but it is a PCM chart from DHP.
