Thats the swap I am getting ready to do
Last week my sand rail, which was running a 2276 vw engine busted a bolt and blew a rod through the case.... in mexico..
Bummer since the 2276 was only good for 50 miles. Not even a full tank of gas cycled. conterfeit bolts...
So my mechanic, a sand rail builder in Phoenix offered to eat the cost of the engine and build a new one, OR OR OR!!!!! put in a brand new 3.4 with a turbo.
The only problem is I know nothing about these engines.
Going to keep the CR at 9:1 with about 12 lbs with 110 octane...
anyone see anything wrong with this?
Any modifications we should make to the engine before assembly?
