I still plan to make them, I just didn't have the right size aluminum on hand. I ordered some more, and it should be here tomorrow, so I can start on them this week.

OK...here are some pics of my progress on the first prototype. I still need to drill the holes for the 3500 plenum EGR mount, the hole for the clean air feed line, and clean up some of the edges.

Sorry about the wait. I finally completed the prototype. Here are some pics of it. I will try to start making a couple more this weekend for Mars and Froggx.

Here are a couple shots of the adapter un-mounted. I used a 3/8" brass hose barb for the clean air supply, so you can use standard 3/8 vacuum or fuel line to plumb it into the air cleaner, or use a remote mini-K&N.

Yeah, Marty did an excellent job on the unit. Almost looks like it was designed to go there...
I'd like to see a picture of the 00+ 3x00 plenums, as I think the EGR is situated the same. This could be a possible cheap mod for 3x00 users to upgrade to an affordable TB. They'd just have to figure out how to adapt the TB to the plenum...
Betterthanyou brought up an interesting idea which I'm not sure would work or not... Might need a little redesigning to make it work. For those that want/need to keep the EGR, would it be possible to make this thing have a pass-thru EGR port as well? I'm trying to think of the possible issues that would arise with the IAC and EGR sharing the same hole.
Personally I feel if you used the egr plenum you could probably adapt this baby to the hole used for EVAP pretty easily, maybe drill 1 hole in a different place or make a threaded fitting of some sort. Of course a pass through would still be easier. Would the IAC have trouble with heat or anything?
