  • Need RWD 3.4 swap(ECM+harness, not engine) help

    I already have the engine itself installed successfully.

    What I need is guidance on swapping over the harness and ECM from 4th gen fbody car(what the donor engine is from).

    The engine harness and ECM swap itself is straightforward, plug in harness, plug in computer, its all the other crap I find myself unsure of in regards to complications and making things work together, chief among these would be gauges, relays, fuses and the like. Also unsure if those cars have a passkey system that would need to be worked around, and Idk if the ECM would be looking for various inputs from things I might not have(Not sure if the NSS goes through the ECM or is directly in starter circuit on those for example) I have already pulled my original harness, and I also wish to do some simplifying of the electrical system on my car in general, I have it completely gutted atm. And when I redo it, I would prefer to keep things simple if possible.

    It is my speculation that the best route would be to pull a 3.4 harness, ECM, all the relays, and fusebox together, possibly the gauges as well?
