Ok, story goes this year I needed a new set of tires for my car and it was cheaper picking up a wreck that had new tires then just buying the tires locally, go figure. So anyway I have a 3.4L drivetrain in I believe '02 or '03 Impala, so I've been keeping my eye out for anything with a bad drivetrain that I could swap these parts with and came across a '02 Aztek GT
I know, ugly.
Anyway, it's got 200K KMs or 120K miles give or take, loaded up decent enough and new tranny/windshield/tires etc seems like it was being taken care of and he's selling it pretty cheap. car-part.com doesn't list the Impala 3.4 being interchangable with the Aztek, and I noticed they have a slightly different HP rating, so I'm curious what's involved with swaping over the motors? Just swapping wiring harness or could there be alot more to it?
And who knows... maybe I'll keep the Aztek for myself! New tranny tires and rebuilt motor... could be a decent second vehicle.
