3.1 or 3.4 or wats best?

I have a 2001 grand prix se with the 3100 engine. It has 246,000 miles on it and i plan on doing a rebuild soon. Im trying to decide which engine to use considering that i am planning on maybe putting a turbo on this thing at some point cuz id like to have a sreet sleeper that people wouldnt expect. I need to know wat works best, wat swaps i can make, wat it takes to build a bottom end that will hold up to a turbo and make good power on motor alone, wat electrical mods will i need, wat to do with the weak trans, and any other info that may help me. PLEASE HELP!

get a smaller car, like a Sunfire, swap in a getrag 5-spd, and use a 3400 or 3500 with a turbo.. that Heavy GP is a waste of timeand your goign to spend more for the trans work than getting a different car and the parts for the swapping, Its simple Physics, just sell the GP and you will be ahead
