  • Swap Wiring help

so i decided to swap in a 1990 3.1L into my 92' GP the engine came from a 1990 GP STE, so i used the complete INTERIOR and ENGINE harnesses from the STE as well.

now the problem is the STE started and ran fine but after the transplant into the 92 i got it to start for like 3 seconds then blew the FUEL PUMP/ECM fuse, and everytime i put a new fuse in it blows the second i turn the key to the ON position. any idea where to start tracking this down at?

or maybe a wiring diagram that shows where the Fuel pump/ecm fuse for a 1990 sedan is ran?

I have used both the interior harness (even all the trunk wiring), the engine harness, the engines injector harness, and the forward light harness too

it could be a bad pump or a short on the injector harness. the injectors and pump r on the same fuse. its tuff because since u cahanged everything it could be anything.

          isolate problem

disconnect pump, change fuse, if it blows not pump.
disconnect injectors, do same. yuo need to isolate the overload.
