Hey guys I have been out of the loop for a while I have a 3.1 that i rebuilt years ago on my stand, with an intake swap and other small things will it work in a beretta with a 3100. thanks

why would you want to stick a 140hp motor in place of a 160hp one?

Because the 3.1 is all new 3100 is shot not making a race car just want to drive it not trying to spend money

it'll work but you'll have some trouble codes due to the lack of a cam position sensor and 24x crank sensor.

It probably won't run the best but you won't know until you do it.

I have the computer and harness i had it in my fiero but if i have to do that much work might as well fix the 3100 just looking to make this easy wife needs a car to drive price is right on the beretta

you could piggy back the OBD1 computer in there to run the engine and leave the OBD2 to control the trans and your gauges..


it'll take some creative wiring but at least then you'd know the 3.1 would run right.
