Okay, I'm a bit of a rookie when it comes to this kind of thing (the furthest I've gone into anything technical was changing a head gasket on a 1993 cavalier..)
Let's say I have an '88 Fiero, the 4 cylinder model, and a 3900 V6 still attached to the 4T65E transmission. I'm looking to make a daily driver out of it for now, so no turbos or cams or anything like that. What do I need to make this happen? Can the 4T65E work, and if not, can anyone recommend an automatic transmission that would?
