  • LX9 into a 90-92 celica or 90-92 metro-thoughts?

do you guys think this engine would even fit in either of these vehicles without removing the firewall (i dont mind hacking it up tho), also would it be better to go fwd or rwd for engine fitment as well as for the trans to take the kind of hp id want to run if i do go through with a dandy of a turbo setup? if i pushed 400+ hp numbers on it or even 600hp numbers on it (hey, a guy can dream cant he?)-what fwd manual trans could even handle it?

No offence but you sure do ask a lot of questions... Which many could be answered by researching... You'll never know the answers until you get a few basics down of what these cars/engines/setups are and can figure it out yourself. First figure out if you want FWD or RWD. FWD will be easier as far as bolting up the engine (in a gm car of similar engine setup) but RWD will give you traction, important if you are serious about your 400hp goal... Then figure out how much work you are willing to do, many projects get 1/3 to 1/2 way done and then they give up... Putting a nice powerfull FWD engine in an RWD car will take some work, and even more if you don't go with a GM RWD v6 car...

If you are looking to swap into a non GM car I personally would go for a RWD one, seems to be easier since you can bolt up a trans/engine to a drive shaft and "go" instead of trying to fit a sideways FWD engine and hook up the CV's to the hubs, and suspension and fit between the fenders... all which would seem to be a ton more work than just getting the engine/trans to fit in RWD and hooking up a drive shaft....
