  • Can you guys give me some help?

Hi there! Im new to the 60v6 engine and i have a lot of questions about it...

Currently building my '86 jeep MJ 2.8carb into a mean offroad machine, and offcourse i want to do some upgrades to the engine as well.

All the jeep guys in other forums advice me to get a used 3.4 since it will bolt-on, put the problem is I live in norway and there is not a single used 3.4
to find, and if i did it would cost waaay to much!! Thats when I startet to think....FWD engine?? (after all there are some transport's and lumina's over here) Is it possible to swap a FWD engine into a RWD car?? I would have to make new bolt holes for the starer on the other side, turn around the intake manifold and make new engine mounts, right??? Anyone done this before or is it impossible? Or can i swap over crank, pistons, heads, intake, injection etc to the old 2.8 block?

I know there is a '91 lumina 3.1 at the local junkyard and i wold like to sort this out before someone else buy the engine...

There have been a few people on this forum that have done exactly what you are talking about. So yes, it is quite possible to do.
