I am trying to stuff this 3.9L g6 engine into my beretta, and the only real problem I have yet to overcome is deciding how to go about engine management. I was originally planning on using the stock wiring and e67 ecm ,but I think it'd be too much of a hassle due to the bcm so I am looking at alternatives. Many of the good standalone system out there can handle vvt control through the use of spare PWM outputs. So my choices are Autronic sm4, electromotive tec3r, hydra ems, AEM universal ems, and FJO Racing 341b. I'd love to use a motec m600, but its a little pricey(ya I know none of them are cheap, but motec systems are very very pricey!). I am hoping someone has experience with one of these stand-alone systems and has some good feedback on them or has other suggestions on an ems. I've spent hours reading literature on these systems and they all look good on paper, but using them in real life is another story. Thanks for your time and help in advance !

I looked at those this mourning as well as BS3(I gues the 4th gen unit can but I can't get any info on that), but non of them really boast being able to control continuously variable valve timing functionality.98 camaro swapping in lz9 th400 setup

I am starting to lean to the AEM universal ems. I've played with there tuning software and it seems like something I can grasp. Plus it offers all the features I was looking for in a standalone: affordability, autotune(just want a lean to to help setup base fuel maps), and vvt control for all makes.98 camaro swapping in lz9 th400 setup

Okay well I changed my mind again and I bought the FJO racing 341b setup. I have heard alot of good things about the company, and the 341b2 compems especially the near deadon autotune function it has. Total bill came to $1604 shipped to my front door. This includes wiring harness, Wb02 sensor, sensors, and computer. I98 camaro swapping in lz9 th400 setup

Thats exactly why I didn't go with megasquirt due to the lack of vvt control atleast until they finish the GPIO board.98 camaro swapping in lz9 th400 setup
