  • Tuning for a cammed and turbocharged 3400.

Well My engine is coming together and should be done sometime next month. The motor is a 3400, Street/Strip turbo cam, TGP turbo setup (6-9 psi), L67 fuel injectors, 97 Monte Carlo PCM. I haven't done a complete tune before. I have played around with my 2001 Grand Prix a little bit.

I was wondering if using some of the tables from stock supercharged 3800 would be a good staring point and tweak it from there.

No, you shouldn't use any 3800 maps, because its iron head.

Here are a few tables I gathered over the months tuning the 5speed turbo. The 36# Inj tables, HO Spark and OL Fuel control just in case boost is reached in open loop. (I exclusively run Open loop)

The spark map is very gentle in the boosted regions. I add 4 degrees when AFR is around 11-12 via the AFR Spark Correction table. Though, the spark map is tuned for a 5 speed.

      L67INJ-Injector_Offset_vs_InjPW_vs_MAP.txt
      Open_Loop_AFR_Adder_vs_Cylair_vs_RPM.txt
      Main_Spark_vs_Airmass_vs_RPM_Open_Throttle_High_Octane.txt

      HPT exported the tables goofy

Please do be cautious with the spark maps. Noting our engines have some differences....I have a stock cam and deshrouded exhaust valves.....it should be fine as it is not an aggressive map. Compare it with your stock map too see what is different.

these tables are more like a starting point for boost.

The injector tables are stock from a supercharged 3800 that use the 36#ers, so their good to go.
