  • table boundries in $A1

How do I modify values past table boundaries in $A1. For example, in Idle VE I cannot lower the value for "map 30, rpm 800" below 30.2. Or for example I cannot lower my BPW VS EGR below .100. Right now it idles slightly rich at those settings when warmed up.

I realize that I need to change Base VE to get closer to stoic but I was curious if there is a way to get around the table boundaries.

BPW vs EGR is a global constant that's dependent on your injector size, once it's set you should never change it.. and 100 is WAY too low unless you're running 60lb/hr injectors. Mine's 130 with 33#'s, i use 150 for 22#'s

There must be something wrong with your .xdf, you can put anything from 0-99 in those tables.

In my 3400 tune, 800 RPM, 30Kpa is 15.63 in the idle VE table

have you un-checked the Idle BPW as a function of airflow constant? if not, that's your problem.

I downloaded a new .xdf off tunerpro but it didnt fix the problem. For example the lowest value I can make 600 rpm, 20 kpa for Idle VE is 27.65. If i enter 15 and save it, pull the idle VE window back up, it says 27.65 still.

never mind. So Idle and Main VE tables are such that the base VE is already acounted for. So when I decreased the base VE down to zero at 800 rpm for example, then the idle ve could be brought down to zero. In other words, the value displayed in the idle and main VE starts with base VE value and can go up from there.

sounds like my XDF then. i like to have all of that accounted for when i view it.

you could set up another table to view it with and another without it being accounted for.

I like it this way, I just hadn't realized what was going on.

IIRC, when i did that, i left a little tip in the table description to note it.

also note that the base table is used with the main VE table as well, so anything you take out of there, you'll need to add back into the main table to keep the fueling the same.
