  • Tuning 94 Grand Prix ?'s

I have a 94 Grand Prix Gt, That I am wanting to do a lot of engine work to, My question is, Is the PCM capable of being tuned?

What software and hardware will I need, and if not is there an alternative PCM setup i can use?

Thanks for any advice you may have.

The 94 ECM cannot be tuned unfortunately. Its a bastard OBD1 setup that is flash, so you would either have to use an older ECM or a newer OBD2 computer to be programmable. That or aftermarket.

Has anyone here done a OBDII swap into a 94? Or know of any articles discussing this?

It can not be that hard to do.

It's possible to swap a manual and have it run on a 94 ECM. Just have to connect some wires so the engine starts (park/neutral switch), disconnect one (auto locks), and make sure the drive selector is selected (so you rev past 4,000rpm).
