^^^ Not trying to be rude but you aren't paying attention to the advice being given too you. It seems to me like you are looking for the cheap/easy way out and that is not the best attitude when building a motor, esp. forced induction. Follow nocutt and brian89gp's advice, they know their stuff. Good luck with your conversion.

Maybe if you paid attention you would have read that you can use any wiring harness that uses a 727/730 computer like brian89gp stated. That means that you can use an older beretta wiring harness, and just get a TGP chip to use as a base. :P

Yup. And in case you have problems with the 727/730, they are really the 1227727/1227730. The 727 is the water proof verson.

Just something worth mentioning, in another part of this forum (300+ hp) they are also talking about turboing 3x00. They are saying on most cars you can run 4-6psi on a stock computer with an AFPR and that's it. Now I agree that changing the computer has got to be the best way but what they have is working just not optimal. Is there anything that you have to worry about breaking running this way?

Spark. At 100kpa (atmosphere) the MAP sensor maxes out and so does the spark table, so whatever amount of spark for a given RPM it will be constant throughout boost. It is wise to have less spark during boost, not the same as atmosphere.

MAF cars are a little different and more forgiving.

Yeah, in the 300+ HP topic we are talking about '01+ engines which means we are dealing with MAF.........

well, so i can run 6psi with the stock comp and a AFPR (Air Fuel Pressure Regulator?)
is that differant than an FPR? and cuz i cant find one, i'll pay $60 for a TGP comp. so if ya can get ahold of one i have the cash. lay off a little on me guys! i'm 16 and new at the turbocharging thing, always have been an NA man but have recently become a boost fiend. i am using you guys as my help, my two friends and comepetition are using their older buddies who used to have a performance businuess (done in the house) and i am up against a 5speed 3.0v6 duster (soon to be boosted) and a 5speed 2.2 DOHC 4cyl neon (soon to be boosted as well) so please, i am trying to show the communists that GM can handel their mitsu/dodges! help!

                          It's adjustable fuel pressure regulator(AFPR).

We're just giving you a hard time because we don't want to see your engine blow-up. Turbocharging a car is something that you have to understand thoroughly or else you probably won't get the desired results.

I can sell you a stock TGP chip if you want. It's the last version(AZRC), and probably the best starting place. As stated you can use it in any 727/730 computer, but that will require you to replace your wiring harness with an older one.

I am facing the same issues as 3100rettaracer except I will be using a 4T60E tranny. Wanting to put a intercooled single turbo on a '95 3100. Do I have to piggyback the stock computer to control the tranny or is there an alternative? I have read that the LT-1 are flash programmable, can they be adapted to this application? What about PCMs from the newer GTPs, has anyone hacked them? I have quite a bit of searching but havent had any luck finding info. Alot of the info at GM-ECM is pretty good but I havent been able to find any info for this application.

Any info or suggestions would be helpful.
