    Not sure what to do with it, or it's capabilities. Actron CP9185 from Autozone. Given to me by a friend. Haven't even opened it yet...Thought I'd check here first.

    Looks like a nice $200+ OBD2 scanner I wouldn't complain. Mine only reads the actual code # on the screen, not the code information like that one most likely does.

      Guess it's pretty cool. Says it can scan OBD1 with a different cable. I'll play with it. It's limited, but it can delete codes. May save a trip or several to AZ. And required by law, they cannot delete. First test tomorrow morning on a 2004 Trailblazer.

        I had no idea the law prevented them from deleting codes, lol. That's kind of funny.

            the guy told me something like that a few years ago when i wanted the code erased on the subaru. it was for something stupid that's fixed now.

            looks like the same one i got. works pretty good and it can datalog the car too.

              I have a cheap one from Harbor Freight. It won't datalog but can read/erase codes.

              I believe the reason you aren't suppose to be able to erase codes is because many States simply scan for codes as their way of emissions testing.
