hello ive got a 95 acheva with a 3.1,auto in it . and i got bored one day and i make turbo kits in my spare time so i built one for the acheva it seemed like a good idea for improved gas mileage and a little preformance ,and a nice sound too . i have put a walbro fuel pump, 8:1 fmu and some inline check valves for the stock map sensor, ive traced all the vac lines and elemated the un neccery ones ,blocked off the egr,and dissambled the plungers and welded up the holes but still got it pluged in as not to dissturb the ecu. and the car starts up fine and revs up and sounds good .holds steady -20 vaccume but as soon as you put it into drive and go to hit the gas just even a little about -5to0 on the boost gauge . puth puth it almost dies but i can let off and give it like a 1/8 of a throttle and it drives but this is not what i was expecting.
what do i need to do?
    get a bigger map sensor?

can i swap out the ecu for one out of a gm turbo or super charged one?
do i need a chip for my ecm? i have a ecm # 16196397 its a three plug what obd is this?
can i just get this ecu chiped and a bigger map sensor ?

    i just dont know
    any advice is welcome thanks

the 95 Achieva PCM is obd1.5, that's why when your vacuum/boost guage gets near or into boost, it's cuts since the MAP sensor can't read boost, only vacuum.

simplest fix i know of: convert to OBD1, run it on TGP code, get a 2-BAR MAP, and go nuts.

EDIT: nevermind of the TGP conversion, 94-95 LQ1 code would work though.

Megasquirt comes with a map sensor designed for 21-22 psi.. and can easily run your mess. Think of it as "God Mode" for your car's EFI.
