I've been running DIS on my Trooper since the swap, but now that I'm going to the 3.1L intake and hope to get my A/C reinstalled, I have nowhere to mount my coil packs! I think it would be a simpler option to install a distributor rather than fabricate a bracket for the coil packs, but what are the downsides (aside from adding some wear parts back into the system)?

I'd grab a DIS bracket from a 3400.. you should be able to mount that just about anywhere.

I actually have one of those around here somewhere... along with a whole 3400 top end and pistons (might get around to that hybrid project someday). I'll take a look.
But the question at hand: Will I lose anything by installing a dizzy instead? Still the cleanest option I think.'98 Volvo V90 - Ford 5.0 swap in progress

Fits better, flows better, ability to change accessory brackets so I can get the battery back in the engine bay and possibly reinstall A/C.'98 Volvo V90 - Ford 5.0 swap in progress
