  • Installing a reman ECM in a '95 Buick P/A

I need help! I need to install a reman ECM in my '95 Buick Park Avenue with 3.8 N/A. From reading a few articles here, it appears that this is a bastard year as far as OBDI and II. Questions is, to install a reman unit, what else do I have to do besides just plug it in? I am hearing different things about Flashing etc. To be honest, I am lost when it comes to this kind of stuff... Would replacement of this ECM just be plug and play, or is there more to it than that? My ECM # is 16183247.
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

If you have theft system I don't know if that would cause issue. I'm not sure how the 3.8 cars are. Just plug it in and see what happens. It will either run or not run or shut off after a few secs from the security.
