BRAND NEW 97 3.4L Dohc

I have a 1997 3.4L dohc motor that i bought to replace the tired one currently in my 92 lumina, but I have decided not to do the install. The motor was pulled apart in order to do some modifications, but nothing was ever done to it. Every part is still in stock condition. This motor has been run very little, or not at all due to the lack of carbon on the cylinders/heads and the assembly lube still on the internal parts. I'm sorry about the big pictures, I did not have the time to shrink them. I am not exactly sure what year it is, i was told by the person that i bought it from that the motor is a 97. He's probably wrong though. With as much of an asshole as the guy is, he is probably full of shit. I work at a GM dealership and several mechanics looked at the motor and said that is new with very little or no runtime on it. I am not sure if i mentioned it in my first post, but the motor has been disassembled to modify it, as this was done some things were found to be out of place. There appears to be no permanent damage or anything that is not repairable. Nothing was ever modified and everything is still in stock condition. I have attached a scan from what the technician found to be wrong with the engine, along with the recommended parts to repair it. There was no permanent, irrepairable damage that the right mechanic can not fix. As for selling it, I will sell all the parts as one, or each piece separately. I am asking between $450 and 500 for each cylinder head as they are in new condition and not cheap, but the price is negotiable within reason. I am going to sell this first come first serve, so if you would like an individual part please leave me your email along with the specific part(s) that you would like along with what you would like to pay for it, again within reason. I will take pictures and email them to you as soon as possible. I am not looking to make a profit here, i am just looking to cut my losses, as the guy that I bought this from screwed me big time. It was advertised as a brand new motor, beautiful, and in running condition. That statement is no wheres near being true and he will not stand up, be an adult, and accept the responsibility that he ripped someone off and refuses to refund any portion of their money.

Like my last message said, it was sold to me as "brand new" little did i know, it wasn't. The whole engine is not damaged, just the parts that I listed are. I do not feel like going to the trouble to replace them, therefore I am selling what I can. If you would like to do a search for NEW GM HEADS, for this motor, not aftermarket, and find them for less than $450, I would be more than willing to sell them to you at that price. That is if u can provide proof. As I said, prices are negotiable.

im sorry but that whole motor with those problems isnt worth 900, to me at least. ive seen NEW motors on ebay go for about 1000. sooo good luck with the sale i guess.....

It is remanufactured not a new engine. Point blank.

the motor is not together, that is why i am selling it for PARTS. Based on what is it a remanufactured engine? Like I have already said, the asshole that i bought it from said it was a 1997 and i have nothing other than what he said to base it on. So it very well could be a 93 or a 94 or a 95 or any other year for that matter. I DON'T KNOW. For all i know he was lying out of his ass after telling me it was a brand new engine in beautiful condition when it is a piece of garbage. I really don't see the need to be given a hard time about this. I am not a mechanic, nor am i an expert on motors, I am just trying to sell parts from this that has some damaged parts. Like I said before not all of the parts are damaged. The majority of the parts are in perfect, usable condition

Well, im not trying to give you a hard time. Why did you make the thread title "brand new" when its not. Its a 94-95 for sure. The exhaust ports aren't 96+ and its SFI.

No one here is going to pay you GM prices. Id be surprised if you sold the whole motor for more than 500 bucks.

I am going to put this on hold for a few days. Paypal has just contacted me, and my dispute for a refund has been re-opened, and i may possibly get a refund from them. I should know within three or four days.
