  • 3400 Engine For Sale in WI- $150

I am selling a GM 3.4 V6 short block engine from a 99 Olds Silhouette. The van had bad head gaskets when I got it so I opted for a complete engine swap rather than fix this one. This engine has 200k miles on it but turns over nicely and looks decent from what I've seen of it. I've never had the pan off but I've been told by the previous owner it ran when parked.

This block would be nice for a hybrid so you don't have to buy/use the $150+ 7x External Crank Trigger kit you'd use with a 3500 block.

This engine comes complete with the bottom end (block/crank/rods/oil pan only). I've never disassembled the rotating assembly (rods/mains/timing chain) but it seems smooth and nice, with no scoring or ridges in cylinders. You could swap your old engine parts onto it or build a budget 3400/3500 hybrid engine (I can give you details on a turn key 30hp gain over stock 3400 for <$500 investment). I'd be willing to assemble the hybrid engine for you for an additional charge if you are interested.

I have the heads that came on this engine but a machine shop checked them and told me they were both warped and cracked, I'll likely be scrapping those. I also have the 3400 stock upper and lower intake manifolds available in good condition. These engines really scoot in light cars- cavaliers or grand ams especially.

This engine could be used/swapped in the following vehicles:

    Buick Century Regal
Pontiac Grand Am Sunbird or Montana van
Olds Alero , Cutlass Supreme , Silhouette
Chevy Cavalier Malibu Lumina Impala or Venture van
Possibly more I've forgotten...Anything that came with a 2.8/3.1/3100/3400 engine

*Sorry if this ad insults your intelligence as a 60degV6 member. I just pasted it from my C-List ad.

    Thanks for looking,
    Lance
