  • GM Literature and Memoribilia Gold Mine

So there was an Oldsmobile football on ebay yesterday. I looked and it was in Newcastle, WY which is like an hour from where I live. I bought it right away and called the guy. He said he had some other Oldsmobile stuff I could look at. Well and I showed up and it is more than I can imagine. His parents bought the Oldsmobile dealership in 1968 and moved it to the other side of town and had it until they sold it in 2004. (was also chevy, pontiac, buick, etc) Well he moved all the literature, sales manuals, training manuals, service manuals, etc back to the oringinal dealership which had been the Oldsmobile dealership since the 20s!!!

He said there is old stuff too. I didn't get pics but the literature pile is a mess of cardboard boxes about 5 feet tall, 8 feet wide and at least 60ft long. He also has posters for everything. GM also let him keep all the parts so the basement has a huge pile of parts enough to fill at least a 3 car garage. At a quick glance I saw at least 3 different gm parts logos including a orange and blue one that a fellow Olds enthusiast thought was from the 50s. It really is mind boggling. I will be traveling back at least 2 or 3 saturdays to sift through the mess. I will be getting all the Alero and Bravada stuff for sure.

Beyond Oldsmobile Stuff there is Chevy, Pontiac, GMC, and others from the 40s and 50s and on until they sold the dealer in 2004

If there is anything you would like post up!! (most of the stuff i'm giving him $10 or $20 a piece for).

    Oldsman - 99 Alero, 72 442, Odd Olds Stuff

Tuning a car is full of compromises. You must decide if you are willing to give up either reliability, performance, or a whole load of cash. Also remember that repairs will seem to come up much more often as you strive for even more performance

If you have any rear shocks for an 6000 STE and color charts that was in the showroom for 1985.
