  • WTB 3400 EGR Adapter

I know that this is a long shot in the dark but I was hoping maybe one of you guys could help me out...

I'm completing a top swap on my 94' Ciera going from a 3100 SFI to a 3400 SFI. I got everything I needed from the heads-up from someone on the other forum I'm on (A-body.net) already have them milled, valves grinded, etc. Just made an adapter plate so the TB will hook up to the upper intake because I have MAF stock and now the only thing that's holding the project up is the EGR.

I don't want to delete the EGR, but unfortunately since the top end came out of a 99' I can't find an adapter plate anywhere. If I can't find one on here to buy I'll have to custom fab one of those too but I'd rather just buy it outright if possible. I'd like this part ASAP since, understandably, I'm eager to see the results.

If anyone has an adapter plate that will work please e-mail me or post it on here, thanks in advance.

See if you can get your hands on a 2000+ upper, and then get the available egr adapter. the 2000+ ones have a better design anyways. They will bolt up to a 99 lower just fine.

nvmd, Brendan should be able to hook you up, he's a good guy.

You could probably have gone with a 96+ MAF and TB.....

Sure I'm definately interested in buying your adapter, how much would you want for it? Shipping would be to zip 60148 and a couple of pics to verify would really be appreciated. Thanks so much, you guys are awesome. I have paypal and can send the money whenever.

The reason I didn't go with the 96+ TB is because I have MAF and the TB was MAP, even if I were to do all the mods to switch it over from what I understand in the end MAF is more likely to see the gains from the work I put into it (everything was P&P'd) good to know in the future that a 00+ Upper will fit on and flows better.

Yep that's the one, and thursday is fine with me. When you get a chance PM me and let me know how much you'd want for it and shipping, your paypal e-mail address (or another way to send the payment if you don't have paypal) and let me know when I should send the payment. Thanks again!

I meant use a 96+ 3400 56mm TB, and then a MAF from a 96+ 3100/3400. They are separate pieces and then you wouldn't have to worry about adapting the strange A body 3100-maf combo piece.

Damn, that is one of the old ones... Thats when Geoff was cutting them with a tracing mill just following the lines of the gasket supplied... (Geoff is a Machinist that works where I do for those who don't know) We later changed it to a set radius which ended up covering all the holes and fitting the gasket, it was much easier to cut that on a mill without tracing something. BUT now that the 2000+ intakes came out these kinda got phased out... and I supplied Ben with a few of the 2000+ sets, and then I just sent my info over to TCE and told them to take over production because I wasn't making anything off it, and Geoff was getting swamped with other work.

yeah ive had that thing for awhile. the pic will be 4yrs old and i probably had it for a year or so before that.

then the whole OBD2 thing came up so i was going to go that route and did then got rid of the car as you know since half of it went to you.

He is a machinist here and does not visit any of the beretta boards or this board, he has no reason to. He is simply a friend in the machine shop here where I work, that I know and makes me some nice parts for me when needed.
