  • For Sale : Prototype 3900 Valves

I don't need 2 sets to do my research on them. You won't see these anywhere else right now and I could use more flowbench parts to get things rolling. Any interest in these race quality valves?

I might be interested, but have a few q's first. Are they direct replacement for the stock valves, and what material are they made of Stainless? How much for the set?

They are Race Master exhaust and Race Flo intake. Yes they are direct replacement valves to drop in and run.

Manley intake valves typically are built with our original "Pro-Flo" design which reduces the stem diameter in the fillet area for increased airflow but also less valve weight. This concept is executed on our Chevy LS and Chrysler HEMI parts.

      XH-426 Stainless Steel Exhaust Material
      NK-842 Stainless Intake Material
      Chrome Stems & Hard Tips
      Swirl Polished and Fully Machined
Improved Flow with "Pro Flo" Underheads

I would let these go for $250.

I'll let you know for sure sometime next week after I cash my insurance check. Some dumb@%# broke into my storage unit and stole my intercooler and some tools, and I just now got my check from homeowners. Part of that is already going for a set of forged pistons from wiseco. Anyhow sounds like these would complement the port and polish I am doing on the cylinder heads.

Ben, You said in the first post you had these to do research on. Did you do any testing with them and do you have any results?
            Thanks

We never ran a 3900 to do any testing and they do not improve flow.

Curious what valve you started with?
I'm assuming you cut down an existing race type valve instead of having one made.
A friend and I have contemplated cutting down hollow stem or severe duty valves.
We don't want to improve flow,we want lighter weight for high rpm.

Here's an example of what's in the lathe right now, these weren't really getting lightened so much as just cleaned up.
Factory TGP valves, lost 1g on intake and 2g on exhaust. (Next are LX9 valves for lightening/high rpm)

Any observations from experience you would like to share would be appreciated.
We're just playing around with different stuff, nothing serious.
