  • New 2.8L Aluminum Heads

I am scrapping an old project of mine (darn code enforcement) and selling what I can, it's a 1988 2.8L Corsica CL.

These heads are new (rebuilt) and have never been used since I bought them from National Cylinder Head Exchange in Orlando still in the wrapper, actually. I also have the originals if anyone is interested and an in-box crank for a 3.1 corsy, virtually anything else from the vehicle is available, the interior is in excellent condition by the way.

    Make an offer please.

Judging by the large combustion chamber and the inline vales I would say those are NOT aluminum heads. I have seen your thread in regards to using a set of heads on a Lumina APV van. Aluminum heads wont directly fit but the heads you have pictured certainly look like they will fit.

    Hope that helps!

these are the heads i got when i went to National Cylinder Head Exchange and asked for heads for a 1988 chevy corsica 2.8L. they never even asked aluminum or cast iron. however my original heads are aluminum (non magnetic, 8th vin digit W) and a little search on this site http://www.chcentre.com/catalogue/gmengl.asp for the casting number 14054884 shows that they are indeed cast iron. and a magnet will indeed stick. however that site also states that cast iron one's were available on 86-93 V6 2.8's, i thought they were all aluminum on the corsys though.

well, ill never be going there again. thanks WrathOfSocrus, but any idea what all vehicles they may fit?

I'm pretty sure they are for RWD applications such as an S-10 or Camaro. Definitely not for a FWD car. What condition is that crank in and how many miles?

Does the crank have a reluctor wheel? You say it's new in the box?

Shipping shouldn't be too bad since you are here in FL

How undersize is it? How much? I see bearings are included, waht kind?

Needs a coat of oil, lol.

                Thanks,
