Thought i'd move this thread here to keep topic. i have a 2000 3.4 from GA. Would it be better to find some forged pistons for the old dohc 3.4 to fit mine? And if I did, How could I lower the compression? Plan on using the garret gt35r turbo.

Personally ported the stock TB, upper and lower intakes, no cat, no resonator, flowmaster camaro muffler, yokohama's, cone filter. -
What power levels are you trying to reach? With decent tuning, the stock pistons will hold up to a lot more power than most people think they will. -
I wouldn't bother stock compression in the range of 9.5:1 for moderate boost levels either. There is a big benefit to turbo spool up from it as well as helping to maintain good gas mileage.Comment

iirc, dohc pistons with aluminum heads ends up with 12.5:1 compression.
