Have you decided on a set boost amount yet? That is important to determine to select the right turbo, even building the headers. The primaries diameter is going to reflect your max flow.

The GT35 should be a great size for the 3500. Have you consulted a turbo compressor map yet? That will answer all your turbo sizing questions. Then you can use the data from that map to build the headers to fit your flow amounts just right. There are formulas out there that will give you a precise primary diameter/length according to flow, displacement, peak power rpm, boost ratio, etc.

Problem with that is these chinachargers often leak once taken apart. If measuring is a must, only remove the housings, never take the center apart. I took mine apart once, put it back together nearly perfect...but I found whipped oil in my DP after that.

IMHO, I would try the GT35 first. Smaller turbos tend to spool very nice. If anything, get the tuning done first, this way if the tuner screws up or something goes wrong you're only wrecking a cheap turbo.

I'm wanting to run 15-20 pounds of boost all out,
