  • Advancing / Retarding the Cam on a Boosted Engine

I know what the effects are on a none boosted engine but what effects does it have on a boosted engine ? Opinions are welcome but input from someone that has tried it would be convincing.

You will net boost to come on at lower rpm's, depending the turbo and a/f ratio you are tuning to. This area is going to become very risky, and often much higher octane will be needed to overcome kr. 105 is the limit of min octane in most cases, 110 or any vp fuel is highly recommended.
