  • tuning 4 s/c question

ok me and a friend want 2 put on eaton m90s but we where just woundering what would be considered proper tuning. u know ideas u might have and stuff

    he has a 94 cav 2.2L (i know its not a 60*v6)
    and i have a 91 sunbird 3.1L

just wounderin i could do so my engine don't go kaboom. im estimating a 5-8 psi of boost.

the only thing i can think of is a lower temp thermostat and 91 octane fuel.

And well tuning. You gotta have a way to control fuel for the added boost. RRFPR/FMU or best get a chip burned with TGP code and run a 2bar map sensor and larger injectors that the chip is tuned for and a larger fuel pump. Other than that a colder range spark plug can help prevent knock.

hold on there what does "RRFPR/FMU" mean

And does any one know if the map sensor is good considering that the tgp and the bird have the same motor. how similar would the sensors in the 2 vehicles.

tgp and bird injects r a direct swap right?

i guess ill do sum research

ewwww they sound expensive. can i steel a presure regulator from a tgp?

          nevermind mind i guess i don't need 2 steel 1.

I went and did research and found out that the fuel pressure regualtor, map, and fuel pump r the same in a tgp and sunbird. the only thing is that i don't know how credible my source is. I used the candian tire parts data base

don't now about the plugs and injectors

what about my computer what should be done?
