  • Cutting header gaskets, what to use?

I'm having some trouble getting the holes for the exhaust ports cut in my header gasket material. Right now I'm destroying exacto blades, and the dremel is rough and wild at times if it bites the metal mesh. I've got an idea I'm going to try in the morning, but I figured I'd ask on here. There's enough guys who have made headers that somebody has had to cut some gaskets.

    Thanks for the help.

what kinda gaskets? if round ports i use a hole saw in the drill press. if D or square i still drill and then use a small sanding drum kit on the drill press to finish out the final shape.

Slug Buster, knock out punch kit

Which type of heads are you using? On my headers i used the stock 3400 gaskets, i just had to modify them a little with the sheet metal shears so they'd lay flat. They didn't leak at all...
