Got back from a week's vacation going to Chicago and St. Louis, my wife's brother married a St. Louis girl. Took the ragtop and she performed excellent, holding up to the extreme heat only had to add 1 qt of oil. Got 24 MPG average on the Interstate. Got jammed up on I-70 coming back East on Sunday with that big ass thunderstorm, think I got chased by a tornado. Unfortunately, some water or something must've gotten into my alternator because it's acting up, discharging at idle. I'll be pulling that bad boy out of there and getting it rebuilt very soon.
I like midwesterners, very friendly people. Some people on the W-Body board didn't agree with me, but that's the way I feel.
If I go to the midwest again and have more time, I'd like to meet the King of 60 Degree V-6 (Ben) and have a few beers with ya talking cars.
Just wanted to share this with the board people.
