    RE: Laser eye surgery

My sister got it done. She swears it is the best money she has ever spent. Perfect vision, three grand.... Never spending a dime on eye wear again....PRICELESS!

yeah, my boss's wife said he same thing to the tune of 5K. i've had glasses since i was 8, so its been like 15 years. my next percription would be binoculars, or a dog. i hop my crappy HMO covers some of it.

My mom got it done. She hasn't had any problems at all. She loves it.

my mom, and 2 of my roomates all had great experiences with it, one complains about dry eyes every now and then since he's had it done, but he whines a lot anyway

i just cant get myself to let part of my eye cut then have a laser shot into my eye... i think they would have to give me some really good drugs first

My sister said her eyes get dry sometimes too. But for the price of one pair of glasses, you can buy a lifetime supply of eye drops.

Talk to your regular doctor first. For HMO to cover it, it has to be prescribed by him. A friend of mine at work had it done, and that's how he got his paid for. If your cool with your doc, this shouldn't be a problem.

i checked my coverage, this hmo sucks. it covers eye exams, but thats it, not glasses or other corrective lenses, or eye surgery of any kind. i'll have to talk to the doc like you said. i dont like the idea of some guy slicing my eye either, but then i'm sort of wierd so i might actually get a kick out of it. i'll have to see what kind of payment plan i can get on. if its 5K like my bosses wife, i'll probably opt for contacts and do surgey later.
