    i think the ecotec uses the same pattern as the 2.3/2.4l dohc engines.

      Hmmm that could be true. Since the ecotec mates to trannies that are not shared with any other motor it may have a different pattern.

      Can anyone confirm?

      I might be able to get some info from Powertrain...
      That would be freakin sweet. Would be great to get info right from the source. So far I think we are working with about 5 patterns

        I emailed him last night about it, so I hope to hear back in a couple days. I have him working on the legalities of being able to post a DOHC assembly manual online. Looks like I just got an email from him about that, so we'll see...

            Oh and what about the SOHC 2.3L? I think it is the same block as the Quad 4 2.3L isn't it?

              yeah the sohc is the same as the quad, just has one cam instead of 2.

                    No they dont. The 4.3L uses the smallblock pattern.

                                Good question, AFAIK it was the only 4.3 to use the SCP, to mate with the TH125C. but I have never seen one in person, so I am going off 3rd party info unfortunatly.
