What's the best way to remove tree sap easily? Tried the Turtle wax spray crap. Wouldn't touch it.

kerosene. It will also take the wax off but thats a given for anything to remove sap.

Well, it was worth a try. Didn't work. Neither did Lacquer thinner, nor did polishing compound. Polishing compound did take out some of the discoloration, but it came back. Which leads me to only one conclusion. It isn't tree sap, or bug juice. It has to be something leeching up from the paint base itself. And it's getting worse.

Any thoughts? On a brown car, it would not be noticable. But this is bright white. Picture is very large.

Not rust either, it's also on the plastic parts.

Clay bars are used to pull the shit out of the paint, which is what it looks like it needs.

its rail dust, from shipping the car when it was new. claybar will help, may not fix it completely though with that much possible paint damage.

Rail dust.......I'll check into that. Strange how it is imbedded into the new quarter panel put on about 5 yrs ago. New paint then.

Yep. I found it! Elbow grease, 3m, and beer. Whoda thunk it was that easy? McGuiars helped a lot.
