Im havin problems with the transmission control module in my 95 dodge stratus with a v6 . i consistantly kicks itself into "limp mode" . . . it wont shift out of second. dealers and mechanics say there is a stedy problem with tcm's cause of the way they are manufactured. is ther anything i can do ?

You need to find a way to read or get any codes out of the computer. If it's going into limp mode, it'll tell you why. If you can't do that then find a PCM from another good running stratus from the same year. If it still happens then it's a transmission issue (assuming the engine's fine).1995 Grand Am SE

If it's anything close to the tranny in my sisters Caravan the solenoid pack is external. I have a friend who had a Caravan as well, and one of the shift solenoids went out completely so he only had 1st and 2nd until changing that solenoid pack ($150 or $200, I forgot which).-60v6's 2nd Jon M.
