can i put 55 series on my front rims with 60 series on the back? only temporary. Will it negatively affect drivability.?

You can put any sixe you want on there, provided the tires clear the fenderwells... BUT the further away you wander from OEM size, the more your speedo will be off. However, A 55 and a 60 series tire only have probally a half inch difference in height when inflated so if it's only temporary, you'll be fine.

sweet. thanx gtp. I am workin on another pair of goodyear nordics for the back. I picked up this pair of nordics for 40 bucks. cant go wrong. i lined up the skins and the dif is small. abs doesnt work anyway; that would be my only significant concern...if i cared that it was operational. Thanks for the quick reply. !! Cheers!
Damn seam leak forced me to buy winter tires. The olds is tellin me something...

since your ABS is already gone, and you don't care for it, you're perfectly fine. i had 205/70-15s and 205/75-15s on the front and rear of the MC and it didn't seem to care... then again the ABS has always been flaky. as long as you keep the correct size on the drive wheels, the speedo will still be accurate.
