  • A bored day at work for me.

First all let me say that i am not easily parted with my money... with a few exceptions of things i REALLY want. lol

so, i knew i needed some sort of sound deadening in my trunk but i dont want to spend the money they want for the kit, yet.
well today at work my boss ordered a spray in liner kit for his wifes little ford ranger. well shit the kit is WAY over kill for that project... so here the horns pop out of my head and i say "hey... ill srpay that for you if...." and so he agrees and i prep both the truck and my car in our shop, spray the truck, the tail gate, and then my car. with just as much as it took to do the box of his truck! lol i sprayed it soooo thick.
for a cheapo kit. its still nowhere near as thick as the liner he got professionally done in his bigger truck.

heres some pictures, dont mind the red spots, i couldnt get the gun in everywhere. but i tried.

the little rubber plug in the bottom of the spare tire well is still able to move?

i ask this because when i first started playing with my wife's GP, there was a good gallon of water being held in due to that plug not being able to vent it...

just crawl underneath and pop it a few times with your palm, that's all it took for a watertight one in the GP...

i have yet to find that leak now that i think about it... FML.

lol there is still vibration, but only when the bass REALLY hits. then the tail lights and license plate holder vibrate enough to hear. same with the spoiler and the front edges of my trunk lid. tomorrow when i order new front rotors and pads i will check and see if i can get a new weather strip or some sort of plushy replacement that holds up to the lid a little tighter.

lol no i didnt and im kicking myself today over it. so i might cover it with some gravel guard. but my sirius antenna runs through the tin of the trunk lid to hold the wire up out of sight. so to take off my trunk lid i need to take all the wiring out for the antenna, starting at the FRONT of the car! lol or just mask off everything underneath with a big ass sheet of plastic! haha i dunno. i wanna do it though.
