OK, since I screwed up on my last post( ) Here's a real question. I found a Cutlass in the Boneyard with a digital dash. Is it easily changed out and is it "a good thing"? Or do I stick with my factory gauges? If I have to do a lot of rewiring, I won't even consider it. I'm not sure of the year the crash car is (91-93 maybe) Mines a 94. It does have the DOHC, or did.

You'll have to pop out and change every pinout on the gage cluster harness to operate the digital one (over 16 wires). If you already have the 6-gage cluster I wouldn't even bother. You wouldn't have a tach signal for the digital cluster if you have the 3100 (94+) Twin cam computer should give the correct signal but I'm not positive.Brian

88 and 89 regal digital dash
I picked up an 88 regal for a couple hundred bucks. It's got a pretty plain dash (only dummy lights, speedo, odometer and gas gauge).
I noticed a digital dash out of a 91 regal with all the gauges (spedo, tach, oil, temp, ect) for ~$20
To me it seems worth it, and I have no problem re-pinning or rigging the connector to make it work. What I wonder is, is it possible?
I've got a service manual for the 88 regal coming soon, so that should have the pinout of the existing connector.
Anyone know if/how I can make this work??
