i have my 2.8L v6 out of my 1981 pontiac pheonix LJ and was wondering could i take a crankshaft out of a 3.1L v6 and put it in my motor and are the berings the same size...(i would get new) im just looking for a way to get more hp and tq and not spend alot of money any 1 have any idea.(ill put some pics of my motor up later

Possibly. However all that is needed is the correct block and everything else bolts up like it would on your stock engine. You can also jump to the larger valve iron heads. You can do all this and no one can ever tell the difference. Just in case you need to pass inspection in your state.
Its just like small blocks and big blocks. You cannot tell the difference between a 305 and a 350 or a 394 and a 454.1993 EXT. CAB, 3.4L V6 TBI, 5spd manual. Sonoma
