Wow, lots of questions all over the place in that one. But I'll answer the main question, per the title. Yes, these engine do have the dowel pins to align the tranny and engine up. And yes, they can be a pain to split apart sometimes. IIRC, there are a total of 7 tranny to engine bolts, so make sure you have them all. And then 3 TC bolts. Then just start prying, carefully.-Brad-
