  • This may sound crazy...

This may sound crazy, but if I hold the window power button down after it's already down/up I can hear a noise from under the dash. I can't quite describe the noise... it's like sort of electrical but I'm not really sure.

    Am I nuts?

The noise you are hearing is it a clicking? Its more then likely the relay clicking.

I would say it could be sort of a gurrr/clicking sound. It's not the window motor it's def from under the dash.

My fuses and stuff are in the dash, and the power windows have a breaker instead of a fuse. It may be that you are hearing?

Would a breaker make noise? I'll have to go out and test this...

i have an easy solution for this, do not hold the button after the window is all the way up or down. :P

It's an automatic reseting breaker, so I guess if you are overloading it to where it trips, and resets it could probably click on and off.

Once the windows are up don't hold the button down anymore. Just gonna burn up the motor etc.

if the breaker is clicking that fast even though it is able to go up or down replace the breaker. The breaker should trip as it is a bi-metal contact for about 20 seconds.
