  • LED Turn Signals Issue

Alright, so I put LED bulbs into my turn signals and here is what it is..

    Front:

    Sidemarker (notice, really really dim):

Cluster (notice, both lights for turn signals stay on when the parking lights are on):

The problem is those two lights in the cluster, they're bugging me. Turn signals turn on and flash fine, when turn signals are enabled, the sidemarker gets bright too and in the cluster instead of the <- light going on and off, it goes off and on, when you turn off the turn signal, goes back to staying on. I don't even mind the dim sidemarker as long as I can get rid of the problem with the cluster lights staying on with the LEDs. Any ideas?

P.S: No electronic flasher is not the solution, it flashes with thermal and electronic the problem is when the parking lights are on, not when flashing.

Why would I get a ticket for it?

most states mandate amber front turn signals, and the use of any blue light can be interpereted as impersonating a police officer, wich in canada carries a 5 year prison sentence.

it comes down to resistance. turn signals and marker lights are based off resistance, if you dont have the correct resistance, you get voltage backfeeding and doing weird things in the system. the best thing to do is take them out.

They're not blue, it's the camera. My sidemarkers are amber so the police thing shouldn't be a problem, the front turns are white. I'll figure out a way to fix it.

Fixed. LED sidemarkers to even out the power draw fixed the whole thing.
