  • Subwoofer Box Mount

How did you guys mount your subwoofer box in your trunk? I know there is a lot of ways, l brackets and stuff but I'm trying to think of the way that will work the best to make sure the box doesn't slide around the trunk.

a lot of people use brackets and screw it to the floor. another way is to take the sub out and screw it to the floor from the inside.

what i have done is use suitcase latches to hold it to the floor. this allowed for real quick removal for racing.

In my buddies car we made a new spar tire cover for the trunk out of plywood. We then used a piece of threaded rod and threaded it all the way up from the spare tire well through spare, which was now held in by the threaded rod, through the plywood and into the sub box. The sub box was bolted down and the sub screwed back in. This ensured no one could steal it in a hurry and held it secure in an accident. It was very clean and added no holes to the car.
