This being my first post here, I will at least be on topic (in the off topic section).
First of all; I live in Peru - South America, and therefore I have very limited access to spareparts and physical reading material.
My car is an old Chevy Celebrity 1985 with a carburated 2.8 V6.
The problem which I have not been able to find a solution to, is it's vacuum system. Things have "disappeared" from down under the hood during the past 22 years, and the vacuum lines are most definately not correctly plugged.
Is there anyone here who can guide me to a diagram of the correct vacuum setup for this engine? It runs smoothly and still has a lot of life, but is burning gasoline as if it was paid to do so.
The best performance I have been able to get out of it (highway driving at max 60 mph) was 15.8 miles per gallon... and that is way too much... considering the price down here being $5.45 for a single gallon.
My suspicion is that it's due to the vacuum lines that it is so uneconomic.
Any help would be highly apreciated.
Thanks in advance.
