  • I think I've been scammed on RPM Outlet

Yea I ordered the G-Tech Pro SS Competition Performance Meter and not only have I been overcharged, but I ordered It on Friday with overnight delivery ,as shipping is free, and am still without a tracking/reference/order number. Then I googled rpm outlet an found out they are some rotten ass apples. So I sent them a threatening E-mail:

Hello my name is Sydney. I placed an order for Item number: 'GET9900SS'. It was listed at the price of $199.95 plus a Store Handling Fee of 9.95, thus bringing my total to 209.90 as stated on the invoice recieved where it states "Your order has been processed. Please print this page for your records.". However, it has come to my attention that I have been charged the amount of $211.90. This is a problem because the chain of information has been thus broken by RPM Outlet as they have not referenced/communicated what the additional amount of $2.00 has been charged for. In addition RPM Outlet have yet to give me a tracking number or order number of some kind, as the given 'use your ten digit phone number with no spaces or dashes' UPS tracking method is unavailable. IF the product ordered is not is stock then a refund in full will be required with out charge as it does state on your web page its status as being in stock. If this is unable to be resolved I will file a complaint with the BBB and my financial institution. If it cannot be resolved at that point then I will ask my attorney what the next phase of action shall be. The Better Business Bureau, The Bank/Visa, and/or my attorney a will receive a copy of this and all communications hereafter recorded for dispute purposes if RPM Outlet cannot resolve the stated issues.

I hope this crap gets resolved.
Edit:CRAP I forgot to add: Ignoring or failure to respond to this email authorizes the cancelation of charges made by RPM Outlet.

Any advise on how to handle this company?

I bought something from them a long time ago and they sent me a set of springs with the retainers. I didn't order the springs. They refunded my card when they recieved the springs plus the differential in shipping initially and back to them. They no longer sell the titanium retainers for dirt so I haven't been back.

I have been in a similar situation.

Remember a lawyer isn't going to do anything except cost you money.

        The first step is:
Try calling these #'s to make a final warning that you will be filing a report with IC3.gov (Internet Crime Complaint Center) which is run by the FBI.

        Original Business Start Date: 03/14/98
        Principal: Michele Boyd, Marketing Director
        Phone Number: 281-261-6244 : (847) 788-8272
        Fax Number: 281-261-9031
        Web Site Address: www.rpmoutlet.com

If that gets you no where then what you need to do is contact visa if it is a credit card or your bank if it is a debit card, explain the situation and ask them to dispute the charges. Most banks and credit card company's are more than willing to help out when it comes to these things.

Hope this helps, I spent a month and a half fighting to get a refund back from autopartswarehouse.com, which finally ended when I threatened them with Interstate fraud charges.

Yeah I sent them(rpmoutlet) 3 emails. I simply printed out the order confirmation, the page that said the item was in stock, a page that showed the order total being 209.90 then the page that showed me being charged 211.90, Also I printed the email reciepts that say "your email has been recieved. You will recieve a responce in 1 or 2 buisness days."

After I googled that website I filed a dispute with my bank immediately...I still have yet to hear ANYTHING from Rpm, but I got my money back two days ago. If they try to say that I took the money back w/o notifying them then I will just print the emails I sent them and the stupid automated responses and say pwned.
LOL @ them getting charged back 211.90.
Lesson learned: NEVER BUY FROM RPMOUTLET, and always research or buy from well known sellers.
