Im new on here but not on gaownersclub.com. I joined this forum because I'm about to tackle a head gasket job for my 3400 and wanted to see what info i could find.
What I've done:
not much
I got it with the hood which i believe is the SD style
i put the rims on it because it had stockers with tires that were too big
paint red calipers
new fuel filter
new waterpump
K&N drop in filter
and have done some interior painting
I have replaced the UIM once already to try and fix a cylinder 3 misfire but it didn't fix it sooo looking at head gasket. I am also leaking a very small amount of coolant from the LIM seal on both ends but there has been no noticeable drop in coolant.
Im looking forward to what i can learn form this site and glad to be a part!
