  • Track Roadster

I'm currently building a track roadster based on a fiberglass 1923 Ford model T replica body and a custom built frame. I aquired a 3.1 Isuzu engine and a 1984 Camaro V6 bellhousing and T5 transmission. I have an ECM from a 1990 S-10 and have disected a 1990 TBI Camaro wiring harness to use. I am intending to build a set of "lakester" style headers and have the intake bored to run a 4.3 TBI. The engine I aquired had just been overhauled and the owner never paid the bill. At the time I bought it I assumed it was a FWD 60 degree V6, turns out to be an Isuzu 3.1. I'm planning on installing a Crane 270-2H camshaft and 1.6 ratio roller tip rockers. I'd like to get somewhere around 170 HP. 1400 lbs, 4.56 rear ratio, should scoot pretty well. Back in the early 80's I had a S-10 with a 2.8 that I installed a X-11 camshaft and a set of X-11 heads that had been port matched and milled .030. That little motor really impressed me with its ability to rev and the amount of power it put out.

    I demand pictures! haha

Sounds cool, I've wanted to so something similar for a long time. It should be a blast to drive.
