Thanks guys. I've had the Jeep for years but didn't do very much with it for a long time. After hearing my wife say to many times, "do something or sell it", I decided to get busy. Originaly I was going to use a 2.8l motor out of a '89 Camaro but found some problems with it. I ended up using the '89 intake (not the best I know) on a new 3.1L long block. I control the motor both fuel and ignition with a MS-II ecm. Even though the motor is pretty much stock, with the gearing, T-5 5 speed and more the double the horse power over the original motor, the Jeep runs well.
A couple of pictures of the motor going in just prior to wiring.
Also a trip into the hills.
